[It had taken her some time, a little heavy lifting and an awful lot of reading up on taking care of fish and sea life in the library, but it's finished. Room twelve in community building three now has a fully functioning fish tank! There's a hanging filter happily bubbling away into the water of the pretty bare looking tank. Fuuko had wanted to go down to the beach and find a few shells and what not but it's really cold, so for now the tank only has some gravel along the bottom and a rock or two in it.

As the journal comes into focus it's possible to notice something in the tank past the gravel and rocks. In fact if you can't notice it you must need your eyesight checked as Fuuko currently has the journal pushed right up against the glass of the tank.

The most adorable of adorable starfish is inside, laying on top of one of the rocks. Yes, a real live starfish. Fuuko couldn't believe it either. A real live starfish! It needs repeating, okay, it's a real a starfish. REAL. Many a trance came and went when she first unwrapped the jar containing the little guy.

Having kept the journal on for a minute or so in silence whilst she shows off her new pet, Fuuko speaks up.]

Fuuko cannot thank whoever gave Fuuko such a gift this Christmas time enough! Had Fuuko been able to find a tank and supplies sooner then rest assured, Fuuko would have thanked whoever-you-are long ago!

[Turning the journal towards her face which has a giant smile plastered all over it, because hey, guess what guys, it's a real starfish. And it's her pet! Aaah!]

Fuuko has even decided to keep the jar that-- Oh, Fuuko still needs to think of a name... But Fuuko is keeping the jar he came in as a memento of this wonderful present even in his nameless state! [Giving the journal a wave she starts closing the journal-- But wait, ooone more thing.] Fuuko almost forgot to mention the Starfish Festival seeing as all Fuuko can think of right now is this cute little guy. It'll probably be in April sometime, though there's no definite date yet. Just letting you all know!

Good question, allow Fuuko to explain! [Ahem.] The Starfish Festival will be a time where the whole village will get together and celebrate the starfish! Be it for their wonderful looks, amazing personalities, or everything about the starfish as a whole! There'll be stands for food, games, lots of different things. And it's all for the starfish!

What happens at a starfish festival?

At a starfish festival there is a lot of music, dancing, cheering and other similar activities. Some people might be selling starfish related merchandise or food, or anything else for that matter. It's basically a time where everyone comes together to show their appreciation and love for the starfish in the space of one fantastic festival!

[Like hell they are. Starmie are hard and aren't huggable and squishy at all. Now look at Starfish-kun. You can snuggle with that mofo for hours on end.]

Well the Staryu are starfish Pokémon, right? For now this is a festival for just the starfish, but maybe at the next one the Staryu can come along too.

Yes, this one is very real, one of the most real starfish Fuuko has ever seen!

[And so to prove it, Fuuko pulls up her sleeve and puts her hand into the tank so to gently poke the starfish. The starfish moves one of its arms slightly in response.]

It's so soft to touch~!

[Oh, that's what Kotomi's doing? Fuuko thought she was just marveling at the starfish too. I mean LOOK AT IT. It's so adorable, sitting there, not really doing much of anything.

And so Fuuko will join in staring at the starfish, peering in from around the other side of the tank so Kotomi might be able to see her if she looks up.]

It is, it really is! Whoever got Fuuko this gift must know Fuuko incredibly well in order to find a starfish this appealing. [It's not like she goes spouting off about the starfish to everyone she meets or anything--] Clues? Hmmm...

[Setting the journal down for a moment as Fuuko goes to retrieve the jar the starfish came in and then showing off the jar to the journal.]

The little guy came in this jar, if that's a clue at all. It was also all wrapped up. Could the wrapping paper have been a clue?

Could it be possible that there's someone out there who knows as much about the starfish as Kotomi-san?! Fuuko really is behind on the knowledge about starfish now!!
