[The bright sun, blue sky, even the odd cloud dotted here and there. Whoever is holding the journal is doing a pretty good job of capturing the good weather right now.]

After all the rain and wind last week it's this sort of sunshine that really makes Fuuko think of summer.

[The journal soon pulls back to show that the sky is being recorded through a massive hole in the roof of one of house 26's upstairs bedrooms.]

However Fuuko really does not want to enjoy summer whilst still being inside like this! Most of the water has dried away or has been mopped up but this thing is still here! Even if Fuuko was low on money and couldn't afford AC this would be a very extreme solution. And even then money isn't a problem so why is this hole still here?!

[Normally these things see to themselves, but nope. Still a hole. The bedroom is still a complete wreck too, with debris and bits of glass and the door frame scattered about all over.]

If anyone knows anything about fixing things like this then Fuuko would appreciate a little of your time. Fuuko will even prepare something to give to your for your trouble, something very delicious!

[Oh, and quickly adding in at the end--]

Also, Fuuko hopes everyone who went into space returned home safely! If you all want something delicious too then please come to house 26, there's going to be more than enough for anyone who wants some. Fuuko will make sure of that!

[The 'something very delicious' Fuuko was referring to is starfish shaped bread. Giant loaves of it. There's only so much of the stuff she can make before she needs more ingredients though so she's out around the village to pick up some more.

... But she couldn't just leave all the bread she had recently baked alone in the house. Even if Kotomi and Nagisa are there who knows what could come through that hole in the roof! As such, Fuuko is carrying a bag of freshly baked starfish bread around with her. Don't you just love the smell of bread that's just come out of the oven? It's still a little warm too!]

[Vash follows her in, still pouting.] My hair isn't weird or dyed! It's one hundred percent natural!

Fuuko would ask you to prove it but Fuuko doesn't want you to get hair all over the kitchen!

[Because proving your hair is the real deal involves droppings tons of it all over the place, clearly. Anyhoo, taking some gloves and slipping them on, Fuuko heads on over to the oven and pulls out a whole tray full of star-shaped bread.]

This is the very delicious thing Fuuko was talking about. Don't they look wonderful, hair guy?

Ah! They sure do look wonderful! And cute too! [Not that Vash cares that it's cute, but he figures she'd like the compliment.]

[... Cute? Does he understand the appeal of the starfish?!]

Do you really think they look cute?! This is very important, please tell Fuuko if you were being serious when you said that, hair guy!

[Taking one of the loaves of bread and holding it up towards Vash.]

Please answer quickly as even through these oven gloves the starfish are still very hot!

W-what!? Uh, yeah! Sure! Cute! Whatever you say! [Please put that down before you burn yourself.]

[GOOD ENOUGH. She tries to put the bread down gently but ends up quickly jerking her hands away once it's put back down on the tray.]

Good, Fuuko is very glad to hear you think the starfish are cute. As such Fuuko will allow you to take whichever starfish you find the cutest, which is a hard take to do as all the starfish are equally cute.

[Ow. That might have been a little hotter than she thought.]

I can do that later! You should go put your hands under cold water right now!

But Fuuko insists! If they get too cold then you won't be able to truly appreciate the warm taste of the starfish bread.

[Fine fine she's going to the sink now to run her hand under some water.]

But I'll burn my mouth if I eat that right now!

Blow on it a little until it cools down properly then! Just don't spit over all of Fuuko's bread, that would be terribly disgusting and then no one else would be able to eat any.

I don't spit! I would NEVER do stuff like that!

Fuuko was just making sure! It's important to make sure anyone who wants to eat the starfish bread understands this. Please remember this, hair guy.

[Her hands feels much better now, even if it still looks a little red.

Turning from the sink, Fuuko returns to the bread and looks at it for a moment before realising she had forgotten something.]

Do you prefer your bread like this or should Fuuko put something on top? Some of the bread at the bakery has sesame seeds on it so Fuuko has some of them here now. Poppy seeds too!

... Vash-san. Fuuko will try and remember it but do not hold it against Fuuko later if you turn back into hair guy again.

[Time to sprinkle some poppy seeds over that bread!]

They should be cool enough to eat by now, it doesn't feel as though Fuuko is going to be in any pain if Fuuko picked one up now.

Is it really that hard to remember a name? [Vash picks up the bread and gives it a quick blow before taking a bite.] Mmmhmm! But if you keep baking things as good as this I suppose I could get use to being hair guy!

Sometimes! [More often then not she gets distracted by the starfish and everything ends up being one big blur.]

Fuuko is glad to know you like them so much! Since you're here and eating Fuuko's bread, Fuuko was wondering if Vash-san knew anything about fixing holes. [Totally related.]

Hm, it's not really my forte. I have a hole in my room too, but I could give it a shot!

You do? [...] Please try not to get mixed up with holes and doors Vash-san. This is a proper hole, like one in Fuuko's roof that Fuuko can see out from.

I know the difference between a hole and a door! And windows too!

Fuuko was just making sure, some people might not know the difference! Whilst Fuuko can see out of the hole upstairs there is no glass over it, meaning it's definitely a hole!

I think most people know the difference between a window and a hole in the wall.

But what if there's someone who shows up from a different world where there are no windows, only holes in the wall? [You need to consider these things.]

As long as we both know what a hole is however, Fuuko thinks that's enough for you to take a look at the hole upstairs.

Alright, I'll take a look, no promises I can fix it through.

That's okay, Fuuko will feel a little better knowing someone has at least looked at the hole. This way!

[She's soon out of the kitchen and running up the stairs, eventually standing in the doorway of the room where the hole is.

It's a pretty decent sized hole with the sun and clear sky visible if you looked out from it.]

[Vash catches up at a casual walk and stares at the hole.] Huh, yup. That's a hole alright.
