[The bright sun, blue sky, even the odd cloud dotted here and there. Whoever is holding the journal is doing a pretty good job of capturing the good weather right now.]

After all the rain and wind last week it's this sort of sunshine that really makes Fuuko think of summer.

[The journal soon pulls back to show that the sky is being recorded through a massive hole in the roof of one of house 26's upstairs bedrooms.]

However Fuuko really does not want to enjoy summer whilst still being inside like this! Most of the water has dried away or has been mopped up but this thing is still here! Even if Fuuko was low on money and couldn't afford AC this would be a very extreme solution. And even then money isn't a problem so why is this hole still here?!

[Normally these things see to themselves, but nope. Still a hole. The bedroom is still a complete wreck too, with debris and bits of glass and the door frame scattered about all over.]

If anyone knows anything about fixing things like this then Fuuko would appreciate a little of your time. Fuuko will even prepare something to give to your for your trouble, something very delicious!

[Oh, and quickly adding in at the end--]

Also, Fuuko hopes everyone who went into space returned home safely! If you all want something delicious too then please come to house 26, there's going to be more than enough for anyone who wants some. Fuuko will make sure of that!

[The 'something very delicious' Fuuko was referring to is starfish shaped bread. Giant loaves of it. There's only so much of the stuff she can make before she needs more ingredients though so she's out around the village to pick up some more.

... But she couldn't just leave all the bread she had recently baked alone in the house. Even if Kotomi and Nagisa are there who knows what could come through that hole in the roof! As such, Fuuko is carrying a bag of freshly baked starfish bread around with her. Don't you just love the smell of bread that's just come out of the oven? It's still a little warm too!]

Great! Fuuko will settle for the tarp then until the roof decides to fix itself. What do you need to get started? Fuuko will try and help out!

Well, I'm going to need a pretty good tarp, and maybe a staple gun.

Fuuko has no idea where you would be able to find either of those things in this house, but Fuuko images they would both be easy to come across at the item shop!

Yeah, I'll go take a look there and come back in a bit!

Okay then! Fuuko will wait for you to come back with all the things you need.

In the mean time Fuuko will clean the kitchen and finish the rest of the starfish bread!

[~~AND HE NEVER COMES BACK!~~ No! He does! He returns with a bunch of different tools.] I got the biggest tarp I could find! I hope it's big enough!

[~~SOB NO VASH PLS~~ Oh, good, he's back. In the time it took for Vash to return, Fuuko cleaned up the kitchen and now has flour all over her face and clothes.]

Fuuko trusts that you would find just the right tarp for the job Vash-san! Thank you for coming back and not leaving Fuuko with a huge hole in the roof.

Well! Let's see what we can do about that hole! [Vash goes ahead and gets started trying to figure this out. It will probably involve a lot of painful yelps and angry shouts at the tarp.]

[What are you doing Vash, Fuuko doesn't know much about patching holes but should there really be all this shouting.]

Please don't get in a fight with the tarp, Fuuko doesn't want that to be full of holes too!

What about the hammer!? Can I fight with the hammer!?

So you really are fighting with the tarp?! You can use the hammer if you need to Vash-san, don't let the tarp win if it's really fighting back!

[She had no idea things would be this intense!]

We still need the tarp to fix the roof though so don't hurt it too badly!

Well it won't hold still and the hammer keeps smashing my finger! It's a crooked hanger! [So not his fault!]

Aren't you the one holding the hammer though?! Please stop hitting yourself with it, Fuuko doesn't want you to hurt yourself!! [WAIT.] Fuuko will find some bandages for your fingers, please try not to hit yourself again!

[And off she goes. Please don't let her come back to seeing Vash's finger with a nail through it and a bloody hammer.]

[Nope! Nothing that bad. In fact he'll be just about done by the time she's coming back.] There! That will hopefully keep the rain out of this room until the buildings fix themselves again.

[She returns with a little box of bandages and other medical supplies which she leaves on the bed whilst she admires Vash's work.]

Oh, you managed to patch the roof up after all. [Looks good to her!] With the way you were acting Fuuko wasn't sure if you would be up to it. But you came through in the end Vash-san, thank you very much!

Hahahaha! It's what I do! I fix lots of things!

You don't end up fighting with all the things you try fixing do you? Fuuko isn't sure if that's the best way to repair broken objects.

No, not all the time. Just the really frustrating fixes.

So the hole was very frustrating? If you like Fuuko can give you some more bread so things will be a little less frustrating for you.

I'd love more bread things!

They aren't just bread things, they're bread starfish! And you can have some more then since the hole looks much better now and Fuuko doesn't want you to feel frustrated and upset that you got in a fight with a tarp.

Right, right. Bread starfish. And they sure would help me forget that nasty tarp!

If you follow Fuuko to the kitchen you can take as much as you like, just make sure you leave some for Fuuko and Fuuko's friends that live here.

[Back down to the kitchen she goes.]

Whoo-hoo! Sounds great! [Vash is close behind as he follows her down.] So how many people live here with you?

Nagisa-san and Kotomi-chan, so Fuuko lives with two other people. There used to be a lot more people living here.

[But alas. Once they reach the kitchen Fuuko gestures to the bread. Take what you want dude.]
