[The bright sun, blue sky, even the odd cloud dotted here and there. Whoever is holding the journal is doing a pretty good job of capturing the good weather right now.]

After all the rain and wind last week it's this sort of sunshine that really makes Fuuko think of summer.

[The journal soon pulls back to show that the sky is being recorded through a massive hole in the roof of one of house 26's upstairs bedrooms.]

However Fuuko really does not want to enjoy summer whilst still being inside like this! Most of the water has dried away or has been mopped up but this thing is still here! Even if Fuuko was low on money and couldn't afford AC this would be a very extreme solution. And even then money isn't a problem so why is this hole still here?!

[Normally these things see to themselves, but nope. Still a hole. The bedroom is still a complete wreck too, with debris and bits of glass and the door frame scattered about all over.]

If anyone knows anything about fixing things like this then Fuuko would appreciate a little of your time. Fuuko will even prepare something to give to your for your trouble, something very delicious!

Also, Fuuko hopes everyone who went into space returned home safely! If you all want something delicious too then please come to house 26, there's going to be more than enough for anyone who wants some. Fuuko will make sure of that!

[The 'something very delicious' Fuuko was referring to is starfish shaped bread. Giant loaves of it. There's only so much of the stuff she can make before she needs more ingredients though so she's out around the village to pick up some more.

... But she couldn't just leave all the bread she had recently baked alone in the house. Even if Kotomi and Nagisa are there who knows what could come through that hole in the roof! As such, Fuuko is carrying a bag of freshly baked starfish bread around with her. Don't you just love the smell of bread that's just come out of the oven? It's still a little warm too!]

But now it'll catch the rain.

It's perfectly sunny outside though, Fuuko couldn't imagine it being any sunnier. There probably won't be any rain for a long time.

[Just to check though, Fuuko looks out of the hole to see.] There's one cloud all the way over there and it doesn't seem like the raining sort of cloud at all!

Then the hole won't be a problem.

Oh, yes, that's right, that means it's okay.

[... WAIT.]

No it doesn't!! There's still a huge hole right here in Fuuko's roof that isn't meant to be here and no number of bowls and buckets underneath it is going to make the situation any better! Who knows what sort of weird guys are going to creep in through the night using this hole!? This is very horrible Minato-san, please think of something else!

[...Okay, this is Luceti so the creepy guy theory probably has some actual merit.]

Make it a skylight.

Okay, Fuuko can sort of see a hole like this becoming a skylight. [But how is she meant to go about even installing one of those. She is just one not-loli after all, a not-loli who has zero expertise with skylights. Or construction. Or holes in places there should not be holes.]

What would Fuuko need to do to turn this into a skylight though? Fuuko imagines it would take a lot of hard work to do something like that.

You'd need a window.... And some nails. [sorry Fuuko that's all he's got.]

Fuuko knows that much! Fuuko might not be an expert on skylights but a window and tools would definitely be something you need to do something like this.

[Sigh.] Fuuko is starting to think you might not be the best when it comes to holes Minato-san.

That's very surprising. Fuuko would have thought you would have run into plenty by now from being in a place like this much longer then Fuuko. [then again she's no expert on holes either.]

You must have dealt with some sort of hole before! Even if it's just a small one that's hard to miss. [she had a hole in one of her blouses before. sewed it up like a boss.]

They usually fix themselves.

The fact these sorts of things normally see to themselves is why Fuuko is so bothered by this. Normally Fuuko wouldn't worry but it's been a few days now and the hole is still here.

What did you do to fix this tree house? Fuuko hopes you weren't just working on fixing the floor or a wall, especially since we're talking about roofs.

Please don't go trying to fix a hole in a roof the same way you might fix a hole in your clothing or something else with an attitude like that Minato-san! Fuuko doesn't even want to think about how you might sew a roof back together.

[Luckily she's more distracted by Minato's approach to repairing holes than pressing on about this tree house business. For now.]

Not now, but at any time you might have a hole to deal with you should be careful so that you don't end up using a needle and thread to stitch together roof tiles. [...] Fuuko's hole doesn't count?! Whilst Fuuko understands you aren't the best with holes some help would still be appreciated!

I think you should put a bucket and some boards and wait for it to fix itself again. [Because this is obviously the best solution Fuuko! Sheesh!]

And how long will that be?! It might start fixing itself this time next year and then Fuuko will have to deal with snow coming in during winter! [No it isn't Minato! You suck at this!]

If that happens, I'll figure out how to really fix it for you.

Fuuko really hopes it doesn't come to that though. Will it really have to start snowing in Fuuko's house before you figure something out?
