[When Fuuko wakes up today, it's hard for her to ignore just how quiet the house is. Normally she would see Kotomi around when she got up so the two of them could eat breakfast together. When the minutes continue to pass and her housemate had still yet to make an appearance, Fuuko knocks on Kotomi's door and peers inside. She calls out Kotomi's name into the room, only to soon realise what was going on.

Fuuko spends the morning just walking around her large and now empty house. She has her journal in her arms and held close to her chest, with the intention of using it to tell everyone about Kotomi at some point. But for now Fuuko wants a little time to herself, so she can think about what to do next and what to do about the house.]

[Around midday, Fuuko settles down in the living room on one of the couches and opens her journal.]

Kotomi Ichinose, Kotomi-chan, has gone home. Fuuko is sure she had plenty of friends who weren't bullies or weird guys, so Fuuko thought it would be better if everyone found out now rather than finding out at some other awful time.

[Though she starts her message looking at the journal, Fuuko soon starts looking away as though she's concentrating on something else.]

Fuuko thinks she didn't leave anything behind, in fact, Fuuko is positive of this.

[She was expecting to be more upset than this. For a moment she wonders if she's just getting used to making these sorts of messages, after having announced Nagisa, Tomoya and a few of her other friends and family went home in the past. With a sigh to herself, Fuuko turns her attention back to the journal .]

Kotomi-chan is a really kind, really intelligent person. She taught Fuuko a lot about the starfish you know. Fuuko is sure that Kotomi-chan will be very happy back home with Nagisa-san and Okazaki-san.

[After making her message over the journals, Fuuko heads out to the tea shop to get some work done. As tempting as it was for her to just stay home and keep inside for the rest of the day, the tea shop seemed like a good way to get her mind off of things for a little while. Though she's work as well as she normally does it's easy to notice how distracted Fuuko seems. Whenever she's not carrying out cups or cleaning up she can be seen staring off into space and otherwise keeping to herself unless someone needs her.]

Yes, for now. But don't worry Sheena-san, Fuuko already has a plan for what to do next so Fuuko won't be alone for long.

[Said plan involves moving out and moving in with Ven, but she's going to give it a few days before getting her things together and leaving. She's been living in that house since she more or less first came here.]

Hey, plans are good. Plans are great! What is the plan?

[Fuuko usually doesn't mind questions, and she also doesn't seem okay.]

[Questions are fine, especially questions she can answer in a way that will hopefully reassure her friend that everything is fine. Or is at least going to be fine in one way or another.]

Fuuko is going to move in with Fuuko's boyfriend, that's the plan that Ven came up with. It is a very mature move and Fuuko is looking forward to living with Ven and Kohan-san.

Oh. [Completely unexpected. "Ven" huh? She tries to think of whether she knows him and whether she approves, if she does.] Did I know you had a boyfriend?

The fact Fuuko has to think about whether or not you knew makes Fuuko think you didn't. [... Time to explain!] Ven is Fuuko's boyfriend, we've been going out for nearly eight months now. He's a very kind person who cares a lot about all of his friends, starfish included.

[Anyone who didn't care about the starfish just wouldn't be boyfriend material.]

That's a pretty long time for me not to know about it! Is he your secret boyfriend? [Sheena is teasing, and trying to be obvious about it. Fuuko is likely to take it literally, so she errs on the side of overt.]

Of course he isn't! Why would Fuuko have some sort of secret boyfriend? Sheena-san, you're really making it sound as though Fuuko is trying to avoid some sort of scandal by saying things like that, how horrible! [Alas, Fuuko and teasing are just two things that do not go together well.]

Whoa, hey! I was just joking! If he, uh, likes starfish as much as you do then he can't be all that bad.

Fuuko isn't sure if Ven likes the starfish as much as Fuuko does, but Fuuko knows for certain that he does like them in some way. [And that's great! More people should like starfish.] Even if there was some sort of strange animosity between Ven and the starfish, Fuuko would still like them both. That will never happen, but Fuuko was just giving an example of how much Fuuko likes the two of them.

Then you're gonna have to bring him here for tea sometime. Unless he's already been here and I just missed it. [It seems like he makes Fuuko happy, though.]

He's been here before, but he didn't stop for tea the last time he came in. [Fuuko offered him a drink and everything, but it turns out he only ran over to check up on her! Next time though, when her friends haven't gone home and it's a far more happy, normal day, she'll invite him over for tea.] Are you sure it's okay for Fuuko to have tea with Ven here? It would be terrible if Fuuko was violating some sort of rule about having boyfriends over when Fuuko is meant to be serving customers.

What? Of course it's okay! You never know how much time you'll get to spend with each other, especially with the experiments and everything. So do what you wanna do.

That's true, Fuuko should have thought about it from that point of view sooner. [...] If Fuuko is staying at Ven's house then Fuuko will be seeing a lot more of him on a daily basis. There's no way Fuuko could spend more time with him than that.

Well, I guess what I mean is that you should do whatever makes you happy.
