[Fuuko is making a trip to the item shop today to look for a certain something. It wasn't here when she arrived, and honestly it's been bugging her for some time now. Having her little bag of starfish is all fine and dandy, but there's something else that would make everything just perfect. So here she is, rummaging away... Rummaging... Rummaging--

Oh. It's here. How long has it been here for? She doesn't know. She might well have missed it when she first came here and looked for her starfish. But that doesn't matter now. Fuuko has her party hat. Everything is now amazing.

Fuuko will then spend the rest of her morning out by the fountain in the plaza, carving more starfish. On one side of her is a few blocks of wood, on the other side are one or two completed stars and on her head is a green and orange striped party hat with a white bobble on the end. Her expression during this is nothing short of pretty damn happy.]

[Voice]

Fuuko has a question for everyone! [If you think she's going to ask about starfish then you're wrong. She's realised not everyone understands the appeal of the starfish and is instead taking a more roundabout approach to things.] What do you think about festivals? Fuuko would like to hold a festival someday. As such, Fuuko would like to hear about your festival experiences!

Also! If you received a starfish from Fuuko during that weird experiment then you better take really good care of it, ok?! The starfish deserve good homes!! [And it all comes back to starfish in the end anyway. Good job Fuuko.]

It makes me wonder a little though.. How did that party hat get so special to you, Fuuko-chan? Is there anything special about it, like a memory or something like that?

There is. Some time ago now, back home, Nagisa-san and Okazaki-san had a party with Fuuko! [Taking the hat off to admire it for a moment.] Okazaki-san bought Fuuko a party pack! It was a fantastic item that Fuuko knew would be snatched up unless we didn't buy it then and there.

During the party, Nagisa-san helped Fuuko put it on. Okazaki-san said Fuuko fit the best under this hat out of everyone else! Number one in Japan! [She's... Really quite enthusiastic about this hat. It has a lot of memories to it.]

[ She can't help but laugh happily a bit at that. It does sound like a really warm memory. ]

That sounds like it must have been a really fun party.. I don't know this Okazaki-san, but Nagisa-san is a really kind person, so she must have had a lot fun with you and the party hat.. The party hat does seem to suit you a little.

It was a great party, the best Fuuko has ever been to. Nagisa-san is a great friend and such a caring person, but Okazaki-san can be a bit of a weird guy at times! [Even if he's a little weird now and then, Fuuko is smiling as she says this.] It was a lot of fun. [And then she puts the hat back on her head. Yup, suits her to a tee!]

Do you have any special memories too, Madoka-san?

Special memories, huh..

[ For a moment she's quiet, as if she's thinking. ]

Well, I don't think there was anything anyone else would consider special, but.. I liked my everyday life the best. It was nice to just see my family each day, go to school, meet up with my friends again and have fun.. Looking back on it, I'm just very grateful for those days.

Those are such simple memories. Don't get Fuuko wrong however, Fuuko thinks it's nice that you have such fond and special memories of your family and friends. [Hmm. Yeah, she misses her sister. At least Nagisa is here though.] Fuuko is grateful for the days Fuuko spent with onee-chan, and the time Fuuko had with Nagisa-san and Okazaki-san.

Fuuko hopes you have some of your friends from home here with you. Then you can make some new special memories here.

Hmm, I know they're very simple and ordinary memories, but that's exactly why I like them. And anyone could relate to them too, right, just like you and your onee-chan.

[ Then she becomes just a little bit more.. melancholic, maybe. ] Homura-chan is here with me. Mami-san, Kyouko-chan and Sayaka-chan were all here before too, but.. they all left already.

[ 'Were sent home', she wants to say, but they don't have anything to go back to, right? That's what makes it bad. ]

Yes, Fuuko can relate to them! Plus, as long as they're fond and are happy memories then even they can become special memories! [Fuuko smiles, but tilts her head a little when something about Madoka changes.] It's good to know you have someone here with you Madoka-san. At least your other friends will be better off at home rather than here, as bad as it might be to see them go.

[Sadly, Fuuko doesn't know any better. As far as she knows people going home is a good thing, even if it's sad that they've gone for awhile.]

... Y.. yeah. [ She can't really get herself to tell Fuuko all the horrible things about her world back home, about her friends, so.. she just forces herself to agree, as painful as it is. ] You're right, Fuuko-chan. At least they won't have to be stuck here anymore.

Even if it hurts now things will pick up soon, don't worry! Fuuko is sure of it! [Oh dear, just stop Fuuko. Just because one person going home being a good thing doesn't mean it should be applied to everyone. Luckily, Fuuko picks up on something being off.] ...Are you alright Madoka-san? Do you want to go get some cake to share? [Cake seemed to cheer Sheena up! Perhaps it'll work here too.]

[ Subject changes are good. Very good. Especially if they lead to cake (no, don't think of Mami and her liking of cake now, turn your attention away from that, it's just regular cake). ]

Hmm, cake sounds nice! If you want to go get some too, I wouldn't mind at all.

Great! Give Fuuko a moment. [Quickly clearing up her craft knife, starfish and blocks of wood into her bag.] Do you have a favourite kind of cake? If not, Fuuko suggests we look for some starfish cake! [Not a literal starfish cake, just one shaped in a star. Thankfully.]

No, I like.. pretty much any kind of cake, I guess. And I think it's only natural for you being allowed to choose, since it was your idea to go get some cake..

[ She nods a little at the girl, trying to smile a bit again. ]

Starfish cake sounds just fine.

But Fuuko does not mind if you have some other preference. It's Fuuko's treat, so the one being treated has the right to choose too!

[All packed up, let's gooo Madoka~]

Hopefully there'll be a big selection for us to choose from.

I bet there will! Most cake places have a lot to choose from, even if this place is slightly different.. A- ah, you shouldn't have to treat me though, Fuuko-chan! I'm the one who approached you, so I should be the one to do it..

[YEAH. LET'S DO THIS. TO THE BAKERY.]

But Fuuko doesn't mind at all! Plus Fuuko feels as though Fuuko said something that shouldn't have been said, so this is also a way of Fuuko saying sorry. [You were all happy. Then Fuuko said some stuff and your happy didn't look as happy. So have some cake.] Maybe there'll be one with lots of strawberries and cherries on, that would be great.

N-no, that's not true at all! [ well, it is, but she doesn't want Fuuko to feel bad. ] You didn't say anything bad at all, so don't worry about it..!

Strawberries are always nice though, huh? Maybe with some whipped cream..

[ okay, now she's daydreaming off about it just a little.. ]

[Pfft, she won't worry. Not now she's got Madoka enraptured with cake.]

Yeah! And then you need a really squishy sponge cake under all that cream, right?! Fuuko thinks it's almost as though it is melting in your mouth!

[Sup bakery, walking into you now.]

Squishy cake with strawberries and whipped cream.. Ah, I can't take it anymore! Let's hurry up and pick one now, Fuuko-chan!

[ Turning towards the display in there now.. oh, so many beautiful yummy cakes! ]</small.

[Spoiled for choice, what do?]

There, Madoka-san, can we get that one?!

[Pointing to a two tier cake. It's covered in cream, strawberries and all sorts of delicious candy flowers, sprinkles and the like. Basically a cavity and a stomach ache waiting to happen.

...Though it's really the candy stars on top which sold it to her.]

[ ... Wow, that cake does really look good, although Madoka's first focus isn't on the stars. But the whole thing in general just looks so yummy, and her eyes get a little dreamy.. ]

That's great.. You really made a good first choice out of nowhere!

Fuuko was drawn to this cake as though it was fate. [Again, pretty much just the stars.]

How will we take it home though? Or anywhere? [It's pretty big you see.]

[ Hmm, this is a dilemma indeed.. The cake is pretty big, and neither of them could probably carry it, but has that stopped Madoka ever before from wanting to be helpful? Nope. ]

I.. I'll try to carry it, Fuuko-chan! If we do it carefully, we could probably take it at least out of the door here..

What will we do once we're out the door with it though? We don't want to leave it on the floor or something!

[What to do?] Hmm... If we carry it together then we'll be able to bring it further. Think we could bring it back out to the fountain? We can eat it there then!
